Welcome to The Crystal Way!
We’re an independent, family-run online shop bringing together a carefully chosen collection of crystals, gemstones, jewellery, incense and thoughtful gifts.
But there’s a little more to our story than that.
Our Story
Our roots go all the way back to 1984, when my dad, Ron, opened a small independent health food shop called The Natural Way in Braintree, Essex.
What started as a little shop on the high street grew into a family business built around something quite simple: offering interesting, good-quality products, treating customers properly and taking the time to help.
More than 40 years later, The Natural Way is still here, still independent and still very much part of the local community.
I’ve spent much of my working life in the family business, and over the years our shelves have become home to much more than health foods and supplements.
Crystals, gemstones, incense and jewellery have become a lovely part of what we offer, attracting customers looking for everything from a beautiful little gift to something with a more personal meaning.
And that got me thinking…
Why not give these products a little home of their own?
And so, The Crystal Way was born.
Something a Little Different
The Crystal Way is our way of bringing this side of our family business to a wider audience.
We wanted to create somewhere you could browse at your own pace, discover something unusual and perhaps find a little piece that just feels right for you.
Whether you’re drawn to the natural beauty of an amethyst cluster, the colours of a gemstone bracelet, the comforting scent of incense or the traditional symbolism of a particular crystal, we hope you’ll find something that catches your eye.
You don’t have to know anything about crystals to enjoy them.
And you certainly don’t have to believe they have special powers!
Sometimes a beautiful stone is simply a beautiful stone — and that’s more than enough.
Carefully Chosen, Not Just Another Catalogue
As a small independent business, we know we can’t compete with the enormous online retailers on everything.
And honestly, we don’t particularly want to.
We’d rather build a shop that feels a little more personal.
Our collection combines products we know from our high street shop with a wider range sourced through trusted suppliers we’ve worked with in the trade.
Some items are held in our own stock, while others are sent directly from our UK suppliers.
This helps us offer a broader selection without losing sight of the things that matter to us: quality, fair prices and looking after our customers.
We’ll continue developing the range as we discover new and interesting pieces.
Real People Behind the Website
Although The Crystal Way is an online shop, there’s a real person behind it.
If you have a question about a product, need help with an order or simply aren’t sure what you’re looking for, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
You won’t be dealing with a faceless business.
You’ll be contacting a small family-run company that has been serving customers for over four decades.
And we believe that still counts for something.
